  6. Chess Lessons

    October 8, 2022, 1:00 PM

    Professional chess instructor "Coach Curtis" will be teaching chess rules and beginner level strategy. There will also be plenty of time to play and practice. No experience necessary and all chess supplies will be provided. There will be two groups: the adults and teens group is for ages 15 and up (1-2p) and the kids group is for ages 6 - 14 (3-4:30p). Coach Curtis is a veteran tournament player and has coached individual players and school teams to compete on the state and national levels over the last 12 years. Many research studies over the past 100 years have shown over and over that there are long term benefits to kids who learn and play chess in terms of both IQ and EQ. The popularity of chess here in America and around the world is growing. Come and check it out!
