Parenting in the Tech Age class planned to address human trafficking
Durant Emergency Management will host a Parenting in the Tech Age class on Thursday, November 16.
The class is intended to help parents learn to protect their child’s online activity, with discussions planned regarding cell phones, safe sites, online predators and more.
“In today’s Tech Age, our children are preyed upon by online predators every day,” said Emergency Management Director Richard Ezell. “We need to know how these predators lure our children so we can protect them.”
The free class will be presented by the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security and the Norman Police Department. The event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at George Washington Elementary.
Subject experts will be available to answer parents’ questions and address concerns.
